3rd Annual Fort Bragg Sea Glass Festival
by Capt. Cass Forrington
Fort Bragg's Sea Glass Beaches
Table fees will be $75/day/space. Vendor spaces are 10' x 10' but slightly larger area use is allowed to accommodate 10' tables placed in a square. We realize this is a tough economy and WE WILL REFUND YOUR SPACE FEES IF YOU DO NOT COVER YOUR SPACE COSTS! However, the Sea Glass Museum has become a "Must See" on the Mendocino coast and we expect heavy attendance in spite of the economy and high gas prices. The Museum advertises in the most prominent local tourist magazine and the concierge magazine found in all motel/hotel rooms. Set-up will commence at 8 AM on 5/28 and 5/29. If you don't have your own tables, you can rent them locally for $8.50 each for the full 2 days. Both 8' and 6' tables are available depending on your needs. The Fort Bragg Museum Sea Glass Festival will be held outdoors on the Glass Beach Museum grounds, so if you have a canopy you might want to bring it. (It is extremely rare for Fort Bragg to get rain on Memorial Day Weekend.) Please RSVP as soon as you can so we can plan our advertising budget. Don't forget there is GREAT collecting here, so you might want to come early or stay late. For those on a tight budget, there is a campground located right across the street and several others nearby. Memorial Day is very busy here so it is advisable to make reservations early. Please visit the festival site at http://www.glassbeachjewelry.com/festival.htm for directions and more details on local accommodations, etc., and contact Capt. Cass Forrington at captcass@captcass.com with other questions.
