Best beach around NY/NJ?

Hi guys! I've been in love with sea glass since I accidentally found a green bottle piece on accident on Huntington Beach California two years ago. I've been searching ever since and have come up empty. I'm in NYC working this week and I will have Sunday free to go to the beach. Can you tell me what beach would give me the best chance to find something? I see several listed on the beaches page, but I don't want to go to the wrong one or the wrong end and not get anything.

If anyone does have a suggestion, please be as specific as possible, I've never been here before and I get lost very easily. :) I'd be willing to drive up to an hours around NYC. I'll keep you posted on what I find. Cross your fingers for me! Thanks so much!
