Glass beach combing for two hours

Glass beach combing for two hours

~ sea glass beach report submitted by Deb Moriarty, Port Republic

Name of Beach and Location: South of Plum Point to north of Calvert Beach, Maryland

City nearest to that beach - Prince Frederick, Maryland

Most pieces are well tumbled but not yet totally rounded, so craft grade.

The picture shows what we picked up over a two hour walk - about 30 pieces I'd guess - at low tide this morning.

Rate the beach (a clear photo of the sea glass must be included in order to qualify for a rating): Fair

Do not pick at the cliffs, people live up there!

Access is difficult, private communities all along this stretch, helps to know someone who lives in the area and has access to their beachfront.

High tide impassable in some areas, kayaks get you to some of the beach area, but not sure where you can put in to reach the bay.

Ready?
by: Anonymous

Nice find but it looks like maybe a few of those pieces aren't ready...I don't know about anyone else but even if it is the ONLY glass I find for the 'comb' I throw it back if it isn't 'smooth' on the edges....for FUTURE beach combing!
