Cleaning Sea Glass

I'm wondering about cleaning sea glass before using it for a project. Necessary, recommended? And if so what should I use? M

 what I have found

what I have found is , if you want to keep that frosty natural look don,t wash them ,full stop, but a light oiling ,I use sunflower oil, does certainly enhance them

I try and clean at least with soap and water and then rinse in bleach water. That way, whatever nasties lurking about will be gone.

All I do is wash it in water. But then the pieces I find are usually fairly clean anyway.
