Good drill bit for drilling into small pieces of sea glass?

I need to drill medium to small pieces of sea glass and don't know what drill or bits it is best to use.

Can someone help?

Drilling with a small bit

You can make a thicker drill shank by neatly wrapping a coil of thin copper wire around the smooth part of the drill bit. The coil should be long enough to fit well into the collet or chuck and then the bit should stay reasonably centered.

However, precision drilling with a high pressure water jet is worth investigating. There are specialist water jet cutting and profiling companies who might do a small batch for you, if they can grip the small pieces without a lot of tricky setting up.

Drill Bits for sea glass

I buy my drill bits from By the Bay Treasures--I had tried so many until I found them --theres are very good--also on the very small bits get a chuck( spelling ? )...They may even sell them or go to your hardware store...

You can find small drill bits for making holes in glass on ebay .

The problem is there so small thet dont fit in my drill press.

If anyone has a solution to this issue let me know.
