I used a very little amount of mineral oil on a few pieces of sea glass, and was concerned that it might devalue if I decided to sell some. I read so much about "natural" glass. Can you comment on value?
Comment by Lin from Odyssey:
Just wash the piece using some dish detergent and a sponge. The oil will come off and leave the sea glass looking great again.

the wet look by: Pauline
I have been rubbing a small amount of baby oil into my fingers then rub my glass. I do not do the white glass as it takes the frosty look away and spoils it.

How long does olive oil keep it's luster on sea glass? by: Anonymous
Does anyone know how long the olive oil works? Do you have to continually keep refreshing the piece with olive oil? Thanks!

Olive Oil by: Cinnamon
I use a very small amount of olive oil, (or any oil might work) and rub it into the glass with my fingers. It will stay "wet looking" forever.
