Huntington Beach, Ca Sea Glass

I live right by the Pier in Huntington Beach, Ca. Sea glass hunting is my new hobby since moving here 7 months ago.

Some days are better than others, but I almost always find at least 1 piece for each hour I spend on the shore (watching my kids as well).

I have found some really satisfying big hunks and bottle bottoms that are way frosty!

Whenever I find a piece that is not quite "done" (sharpish edges ) I toss it back in for the Ocean to finish!

I have found aqua, and quite a lot of clear, green and amber, but no reds or oranges yet.

I love the thrill of the hunt! All in all, Huntington Beach is worth a try - some days there are dozens of pieces.

Huntington Beach is located in Orange County in Southern California. The beach itself is 8 miles long. The city is also named Huntington Beach.

The beach has been immortalized in surfing history as Surf City and mentioned in many songs. There are usually surf contests held there part of the year with contestants from all over the world.
