Italy pumice, sea glass frosting?

I live on the Aeolian Islands in Italy, volcanic islands; pumice and obsidian is the local stone, do you think the pumice could accelerate the frosting process of the sea glass?

Pumice might make an interesting frost. On the other hand, it is so light that it may not weigh enough to make those little tiny chips in the glass.
