This photo was taken on Prestonpans beach east Lothian Scotland

Date, time of day, and weather conditions?

19th October 2015

What were your feelings or impressions when taking this photo of sea glass?

I saw it lying amongst the pebbles on the strand line. I couldn't believe my eyes.

This colour is rare here and I sometimes find really small pieces .

This piece measures 6 inches and is 1/2 an inch thick.

The sea glass is perfectly rounded and looks heart shaped.

This is really old glass.

What kind of camera and/or lens did you use?

An iPhone 5

What tips do you have for taking good photos of sea glass?

Take pictures on the beach where you found your treasure and keep out of direct sunlight to avoid shadows in photos.
