Olcott Beach - What They Trashed, We Treasure

~ Sea Glass Report submitted by Mary Hutchison from Olcott, New York

This Sea Glass report is for Olcott Beach, NY (Lake Ontario). The closest town is Newfane, New York State.

I can easily find lots of beach glass on a daily basis.

  • It's easy to walk along shoreline and I have occasionally found rare pieces such as red, yellow, dark blues, along with perfectly round ones.

  • Lots of whites, and gorgeous greens and browns!

  • And most of the time they are always smooth edged with good clarity.

Come get some for your collection.....there is plenty for everyone!

  • It's a public beach with lots of easy walking.

  • Bring your dog or children and even your fishing pole!

Because of reports like this that state there is plenty of beach glass for those who want to add to their collections, there is hardly any beach glass left for anyone.

So thank you for posting our secret spot.

It was the only relaxing thing we were able to do so close to home.

Wow… That sounds like an amazing beach to me. There is sure a lot things going on on this beach and I don’t think that there would be any beaches close by that have this many activities to do.
