Reminder for sea glass reports by: David - Odyssey
Just a reminder to all not only in submitting a beach but also commenting:
Sea glass reports are not really of much use to anyone unless they are specific.
Here are 3 important details:
1 - State the grade of the sea glass - jewelry quality or craft quality. Without this information, it doesn't mean much at all. Plenty of beaches have lots of glass. Few have lots of sea glass (rounded and frosted), and almost none have lots of jewelry grade glass. If you're not sure what grade it is, check the page on grading sea glass first.
2 - State the approximate amount found. Words like "lots," "a ton of," can mean different things to different people. Do you mean 20 or 200? In one hour, one day, or one week.
3 - State the colors. General colors are fine such as blue, green, white, brown, pink, etc.
Thank you,
David (Odyssey Sea Glass)

2011 Orcas Update by: Corinne
Had some terrific hunting this past week. For those who aren't familiar with Orcas, it's in the San Juan Island group -- Washington State. Just a ferry ride from the mainland.
Crescent Beach is good, so was the beach outside EastSound. Had some tremendous finds this weekend on the south-facing beaches between West Sound and Deer Harbor. Found quite a bit of aqua and even a piece of citrine!

Lots of green and white sea glass! by: Scott K
My wife and I are staying at the Rosario. we went out to a nearby beach for about an hour or so and found over a dozen really good pieces of sea glass!
Some of them were a beautiful light blue, only found one brown piece although it was probably the biggest.

Great place for sea glass! by: Anonymous
We stayed at The Outlook Inn on Orcas about a year ago. We found a TON of sea glass on the beach in front of the Inn.
