Jen...down in front of the boardwalk by where they s posts for volleyball.

This beach doesn't provode a lot...but the quality and color is always better than most.

 Not So Unique...Then Amazing

I found a third, months later. My mom came to visit from Florida and wanted to see my three purple mermaid tears. We went sea-glassing that day.

While searching, I found a piece of red. My mom wanted to find one to...we scoured (and I mean SCOURED) the beach and mom was getting irritated.

Jokingly she shouted out to her deceased mother (my Memaw) to stop hanging with my aunt's goats in NC and come help her find glass at this beach (one she frquented).

Mom gasped, "Chaelyn! You won't believe this!" She was clutching something in her fist. She extended her hand to show me, A purple mermaid tear...

I didn't buy it. "You took one from my house to mess with me." She denied it. We laughed. I took two steps, looked down and there was another one.

Loud and Clear, Memaw. Loud and Clear.

It was surreal. Something that had ceased feeling unique became so again. What were the chances? An already picked-clean beach, with other scouring treasure hunters and that double find RIGHT when she cussed out Memaw.

Amazing.
