Sea glass, real or faux?

How can you tell if it is real sea glass and not tumbled?

Someone is selling jewelry of 'pure' sea glass. Necklaces and bracelets made of pieces that are perfectly uniform in size and shape, all round, which she claims to have found all on one particular beach.

what are the odds of many pieces, different colors, of the same shape and size being found on the same beach?

real or faux

I actually found a spot that has almost perfect shaped cabs that pop up ..I mean its taken 5 years to build up a collection, but they do have the "C" marks on them and are very frosted..with bubbles inside..I must admit I am a little suspect because they are so perfect..I have a good number of them that are pairs..

I saw a game in an antique store called mandula and I seem to have a lot of the same colors..so perhaps someone lost this game and all the little pieces...I wish there was some chemi or xray test you could have done on them to see how old they really are...it is a little unreal..its sad now there are a lot of people selling the faux stuff..

Faux or real sea glass

There is a lot of good information about this question that I found on this site when wondering about "sea glass" beads and the chances of finding uniform sea glass:

Real or Faux Beach Glass

James H. is right, there are the small "C" marks on almost all of the beach glass that I have collected. Sometimes you do need a jeweler's loop to find them but they will be there.

Never have I found two pieces that are identical and I have been collecting for 4 decades and literally have trunks full of beach glass.

Never have I seen two alike

I have not been looking very long, but I have never seen two pieces a like yet.

The feel is different from real sea glass. It is a smoother feel, does not have that sugar look to it.

Real sea glass

The best way to tell is look at the sea glass with an eye loop you can see little C or cresent shaped marks on the glass that is real.

Real or Faux

It's very unlikely. Being a collector of sea glass myself, it would take sorting through several hundreds or thousands to match up what I need for such a piece. Even then it would be unlikely they all would be perfect in relation to each other.
