Transforming Sea Glass

I picked up a small piece of sea glass on Emerald Isle in North Carolina and it was dark purple.


I was so excited for finding such a rare color and put it in my pocket for safekeeping. When I pulled it our to show my friend, it was clear!

It took a bit of time to come to the realization that the glass was transitional glass most likely from broken eye glasses.
