What is this piece of red glass from?

by Mary
(Wisconsin)

I have found 2 pieces of red glass on a lake in southern Wisconsin. This is piece is about 1" x 1" and has a slight curve to it. It is frosted and about 1/8" thick. The edges are smooth. Does anyone have any suggestions what this glass came from?

Red sea glass identification

There are so many possibilities that I don't think it can be narrowed down much. I would guess that it is from an old red warning light if it is thick or from glassware if it is thinner, like a vase or knicknack.
