November 03, 2011
Hi,

Lin_and_David
Make your hobby your business.
We did!
October 2011 - A month of weather changes. In some places, the weather changes were extreme (for the worse); in others, such as California, there were some beautiful "indian summer" days with perhaps more to be expected.

No matter where you live, this time of year brings hope of weather that will uncover treasures on the beach.

In this Newsletter:

  • Winner of the October Sea Glass Photo Contest and runnerups
  • Recent posts from readers and from OdysseySeaGlass

If you submitted a photo near the end of the month and it is not in the above list, don't despair! It will appear in the November contest.

Note- the photos on the contest page are ordered according to latest comments, not by month. To see the photos for a certain month easily, use the Search box in the right column on Odyssey's home page or other page. For example, entering "October 2011" should bring up all the month's photos.

Also, you can go back and add a vote for a photo of any month as "sea glass photo of the year" to be compiled when? ...the end of the year :-)

NOW - it's time to get your photos in for November 2011 digital photo contest. Don't wait too long - the earlier you get your sea glass photo in, the more chance of picking up votes!

Reminder - The photo contest is for unmounted sea glass; that is, not made into jewelry or crafts (your arts and crafts sea glass photos can be uploaded at Sea Glass Art and Crafting.

A big thank you to all who participated this month! The photos were all beautiful.
