Lima's beaches look good for sea glass from a distance but in reality pretty difficult to find.

First, the beaches are mostly filled to widen them for traffic increases, businesses, etc.

The beaches also are steep with lots of good sized rocks. It's difficult to walk. The rocks and sand are piled deeply and cover up what's there.

With the constant heavy surf against the steep beach, the glass that is there gets ground down, sucked under and gone.
