Gibraltar Sea Glass Identication Query

Hi, just found this piece of seaglass the other day. I initially thought that it was a black pebble but when I held it up to the sunlight I could see a faint brown/green colouration showing though. I found it on a beach next to The Rock of Gibraltar, Southern Spain, any ideas would be appreciated.

I think it might be what many are calling pirate glass I find similar pieces from time to time I recently found a big triangular chunk at low tide , hope this helps.
