In spite of the great increase in plastic bottles and containers, more glass bottles and containers are produced each year than ever before.
In 1919, 21 million glass containers were produced in the United States of America.
Now, the United States produce 40 billion glass containers a year.
That's a lot of glass. A small percentage will make its way to the beach. Small but significant.
Beach glass will not run out.
