This photo was taken just North of Santa Cruz, California, on 2/17/2012 at 2 p.m.

The weather was sunny, windy and brisk.

What were your feelings or impressions when taking this photo?

I was doing a shoot with my friend Idoia and had this idea of her holding beachglass like an offering, because finding it feels like a gift.

I shot her backlit by the afternoon sun.

We had a lot of fun.

What kind of camera and/or lens did you use?

Nikon D800, 70-120 zoom

What tips or suggestions do you have for other photographers?

Keep shooting, try to break the rules.
