Round Sea Glass - What is it?

by Dara
(Clovis, California, USA)

Round Sea Glass

Round Sea Glass

The glass is convex on one side/concave on the other.

I would love to know how old it is or something about probable origins...

I am now newly hooked on sea glass...spent all my time on moonstones/shells before!

Do you know of anyone in my area Clovis/Fresno CA who has an interest in sea glass, or the rocks found on the beaches here?

Knowing nothing about lapidary/geology to speak of, I would love to learn more about it, locally if possible.

I have a one identical to the picture in teal blue. I believe it could be the top section of an old insulator.

I have found round pieces as well, some still have a short stem on them , bottle stoppers. Some just don't have any sigh of the stem left.

Do you think that it could be the bottom of an old soda bottle?
