Where was this photo taken?

Bayview Beach, Milwaukee, WI, USA

Weather and time of day?

Around 1400hrs, sunny calm day.

What were your feelings or impressions when taking this photo?

Well, when I first saw it on the beach, I thought it was just a plastic top of some sort.

Turns out it was glass, very thick.

I do not know what it is; if you have any ideas, please post them! I posted the 2nd picture so you could get an idea of its size (photo will be posted to Identification Questions - David)

What kind of camera and/or lens did you use?

TS6, Panasonic Lumix waterproof camera

What tips do you have for taking good photos of sea glass?

Well, I did not take this picture at the beach obviously; I did not use a flash, I find it washes out the picture too much when I try to get a close-up.

I try to use natural light when possible.

I prefer taking pictures of pieces in their natural setting.
