Best St. Patrick's Day Ever!

by Pat Barrett
(Nanaimo, B.C., Canada)

My husband was out golfing on Mar 17th and so I took off for a morning of beachcombing at one of my favourite spots in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island.

I had been there for a couple hours and ready to leave for home with a good pocketful of gifts from the sea. You know how it is...you say to yourself "okay, I'm going now", but you keep on searching.

Well I did this and just as I was a bit past the steps to leave the beach I spotted my treasure!! My St. Paddy's Day prize!!! It is frosted all over top and bottom but just around the edges on the top it has more of the icing sugar look.

I'll treasure it forever!!

Try again
by: Leslie

Heading back to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island in a few months, Pat.

Scoured main beach last year and only found one shard of pottery.

Try, try again.

My favorite place on earth.

Where

Where in Qualicum? If you do t mind sharing.

We stay in QB every summer and I always look out front (we are on the Georgia Strait) and when the tide goes out there treasures abound.

Although, sadly, each year there are less and less, especially sea glass. I'd love to check out some new spots when we are there next month.

Thank you
