Rare Yellow Cube

Detroit Beach which is located in the county of Monroe, MI. USA

October 8, 2017.

My boyfriend took this photo for me since he is so much better at it than I.

This is a yellow piece which I found on the shores of Lake Erie on Detroit Beach which is located in the county of Monroe, MI. USA

I found this beautiful piece in the morning around 11:00 am on October 8,2017.

Beautiful Morning it was, so I decided to go and check out our beach to see what the waves had brought in as a storm had passed through during the night. Very strong winds!

I have been looking for beach glass here for many years. It has become an addiction! A very fun one I must say. I have meet 6 other woman looking also and now we all sit there and look together, talk about life and relax. By the way we are all around 60 years old, so we have a lot in common.

My feelings, I was so giddy because I knew this was a rare find. Usually I find quite a lot of browns and whites.

Used a Kodak Easy Share Z1012 IS to take this photo.

It was hard to pick up the yellow color with out using an over head mounted light that shown down on the piece.

LAKE ERIE BEACH GLASS
by: Tina

I would suggest looking anywhere along the public entrances to Southern Lake Erie. I know in my area it is a housing area where you must have a beach access sign on your car. The only way would be to make a beach glass date with me. LOL

I could not tell if you are visiting right here on Detroit Beach? Let me know because that is where we are finding our glass. It is located down in French Town (Monroe County) We are right off Dixie Hwy. You will be living down there during your visit. Not to far away (Toledo) is where they have been making Libby Glass for a very long time. And Lake Erie has many boaters as you probably already know. And ships that go from the USA to Canada. Get in touch. tinastreasurecove

Hello Tina,

I'm visiting Detroit area while my husband works here temporarily.

Could you please give me directions to where I can do some beach glass hunting?

It's a special hobby of mine!

I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
