Interesting Bead Found in St. Lucia

by Rob
(Los Angeles)

I was beach-combing, or "glassin'" as my kids call it and found this bead. The beach is private and located near Castries on the Caribbean Sea side of St. Lucia. Most notable are the remnants of a visible piece of cord stuck through the hole. There appears to have been some kind of decoration on the front facing side but it's worn away, leaving only pinpoint impressions. Any help identifying this find would be appreciated!

FWIW, I also found a ton of red, pink, cobalt and Black Sea glass as well as the torso of a frozen Charlotte. I'm considering renting the house again just for that tiny, rocky beach!

Thanks,
Rob
