Providence River and Bays
by: David and Lin from OdysseySeaGlass

Newport and Jamestown are close to the mouth of the Providence River.

Any other towns farther upriver get almost no wave action.

Although you may find lots of old beach glass, there is not enough tumbling action to produce well-rounded and frosted sea glass.

That being said, you will still have a great time if you find treasures as seen in the photo above.

Colt State Park, Rhode Island, Beach Glass

I'm almost kicking myself for giving this great beach away.

It's very rocky and you really can only walk along it at low-lower tides - but it's worth it!

Although there is quite a bit of lower-grade sea glass, there is also a lot of good stuff!
