Keep Sea Glass Beach Secret? by Carla

by Bloo ~~~ Carla

I don't mind sharing my special sea glass beach locations with those who know the true value of beachcombing and have a grand respect for mother earth and aquatic life. However, I'm not willing to share those same pristine locations with every nimwit looking for a good beach to leave litter and every rock over-turned.

Don't share publicly a good glass beach
by: Anonymous

I don't think you should publicly share the identity of a good glass beach.

That happened in my city, and all the great glass picking is now gone.

It's a good example of what happens.

If you are going to the coast, half the fun is checking out the beaches yourself.

You can also research if there were dumps nearby, or manufacturing, and make pretty good assessment of where there may be good picking!

A level playing field for everyone.

If you don't agree, there are plenty of well known beaches to try your luck at.

Cheers!

Sea Glass Lover
by: Tracie

Hello, I am visiting Dana Point from May 21st to May 28th and have only been to California once before.

I love collecting Sea Glass in New Jersey two hours from my home.

I would love any and all "inside" info you would like to share with me.

Trust me I am not one to take every piece i see, i am selective and actually end up picking up others trash because our beaches are sooo important...

Please Please share your secrets with me.... I am sooo excited about my trip...

Thanks in Advance, Tracie

Here's the Thing
by: Anonymous

I would not mind sharing my best sea glass beaches with people. But, here's the thing - most people would find the beach, have a nice time, and tell more people, who tell more people.

Eventually, the beach becomes so popular and combed through that there would be no sea glass left! What's the point in that?
