What Equipment is Helpful in Identifying and Enjoying Seaglass?

Sea glass, beach glass, or beach rocks and pebbles?

Sea glass, beach glass, or beach rocks and pebbles?

Hi all!

I'm new to seaglassing, and I want to buy some tools to help me locate and enjoy my finds.

I'm wondering if you have any specific recommendations for or against any of the following items:

Jeweler's Loupe
LED flashlight
blacklight

Is there anything else that will help me in
1. Determining if what I have is glass or a rock/stone/mineral,
2. Determining if I have vaseline glass,
3. Determining if my black chunk is glass,
4. Deciding if I need any of these items, or something else, etc.
