Blue Sea Glass that is Really Brown

Blue Sea Glass that is Really Brown

~ submitted by Michael in Newfoundland

I have several pieces of what appears to be "blue" sea glass.

But when held up to the light, it reveals brown.

What's up with this type of sea glass, where does it originate and from what did it form?
