Huntington Beach, dog beach

Huntington Beach

The state, California

I usually find a few pieces if I go at low tide. Mostly green, white and brown, but sometimes aqua.

Dogs are allowed but sea glass is only at low tide.

HB sea glass
by: Anonymous

I walk HB at least once a week and it's not really a great place for sea glass. Most of the pieces i find are just pieces of glass, and i throw back into the ocean. But, I have found a few super pieces, but it's super rare. Interestingly, the beach on the north side of the pier used to be known as "glass beach" because of all the glass there. But def not now!
What i do find in HB are tons of sand dollars- you can't take the live one's but there are tons of not-alive one's.
Once you cross into Bolsa Chica, that's State beach and you can collect glass, but it's not legal to take anything else off state beaches.

California sea glass
by: David

Hey, nice find! It's very difficult to find unusual sea glass at Huntington Beach and this is not a common piece for that beach.
