Tons and Tons of glass always find a special nugget!

The beach has just been allowed to open to swimmers this year so going at night or early morning before the sand is trampled is best.

I have found every color there except Yellow even old bottles from the 1700s.

Most pieces are very smooth and well rounded. ranging from large to small.Jones Beach - January 14th, 2014

Tons of beach glass, mostly brown, some green and some white.  Sometimes not tumbled enough so the edges are sharp.

Fair in terms of jewelry grade, but you can find at least 10 pieces an hour.

Beach is very small, but nice.  $5 to get in if you aren't a resident with a pass.  Snack bar, covered pavilion for parties (has to be booked in advance), bathrooms, lifeguards.

Jones Beach West End 2 Long Island New York

About: Jones Beach west end 2 near Wantagh New York.

I would give it a good to excellent. Many different shades all smooth. I have even found old bottles as well.

Early in the Morning or late at night. The beach use to be closed to swimmers they opened it up to the public this year so go early to avoid the dreaded foot prints.

I find all different colors and sizes.
