Check the beach reports!
by: David @ OdysseySeaGlass

We are sorry that anyone should drive to a beach and be disappointed to find no access.

As far as I can tell, EVERY report on this site about Estral Beach, Michigan, states that there is no public access.

If you find a page that does not state that, please, please let us know.

Make sure you read all about a beach before going.

Happy hunting!

Don't go!

I drove from Lake Michigan to Estral Beach/Lake Erie BECAUSE of someone's post here.

I should have read more reviews - there is NO access to the beach.

From there I drove to a nearby MI State Park.

It was beyond filthy and if there was glass you could not see if for all the slug. Just remembering it makes me want to vomit.

From there I went east into the Cleveland area. I spent three days hitting a variety of beaches.

I came home with over 1100 pieces of glass. Some very small but the majority are quality "keepers".

I had a great time in the Cleveland area.

sorry

Sorry you had bad luck at this beach. I live an hour north of LaPorte and recently started looking for glass. Where do you regularly go? I have had a little luck at the Warren Dunes in Bridgeman Michigan but interested in finding new places. Happy hunting.
