Mixing sea glass and craft or recycled glass

by Sue B.

Before I read up on sea glass and learned the difference between the real thing and the stuff sold in craft stores, I had purchased some of the fake stuff by accident.

Though I now know the difference, I still like some of the shapes and colors of the recycled glass.

I figured that as long as I am up front about exactly what a jewelry piece is made of then people can decide for themselves if it's acceptable to them.

Here, I mixed a pieces of pink glass with real white sea glass.

I'd be curious to know how others feel about combining items this way.

Hi Sue,

As far as us at OdysseySeaGlass, we feel as long as the "contents" are clearly labeled (ie, "Contains real as well as artificial sea glass"), there is no problem with selling it.

Happy hunting!

Nice!

I appreciate your honesty regarding the "other" glass but that really doesn't matter to me. I love the look of this piece and would be happy to wear it!
