Last Tuesday, 30th of June, we got out of the van at Moran Beach (Whidbey Island, WA) parking lot, walked down about half way to West Beach, and LOOOOK what Lin found! Why there? Where from? Who knows?

Red sea glass is one of the hardest colors to find.  If you do find a piece, it likely will be smaller than a dime. It will probably be chipped or broken.

To find a piece of red beach glass this size and fully frosted and with no chips is perhaps once in a lifetime.  Red beach glass is certainly a prize no matter what size, age, or shape it is in!

Great find, Lin!

I HAVE TO WRITE AND TELL YOU HOW WONDERFUL YOUR SITE IS! I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING BEACH GLASS AND OLD POTTERY PIECES SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL GROWNING UP ON THE JERSEY SHORE. I ONLY HAVE ABOUT 7 PIECES OF DARK BLUE GLASS AND ONE RED AND ONE YELLOW...LOTS OF TURQUIOSE, GREEN, BROWN AND WHITE. I NEED TO SCHEDULE A VACATION ON THE WEST COAST SOON!...IT JUST AMAZES ME ALL THE COLORS AND DIFFERENT THINGS YOU FIND OUT THERE. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK WITH THE SITE AND HAPPY BEACH COMBING!
