Rusty black glass

by Jen

Is my bottle kick up/ bottom edge rusty from iron oxidation?

Response from David and Lin:

It is not easy to tell from the photos. However, it is not likely to be from rust. It appears that it may have been in a campfire and some clear glass melted into it. However, that is just our guess!
