Name of Beach and Location:

Hendry's Beach (Arroyo Burro Beach)
Santa Barbara, CA

Went out January 4th at 3:00 pm.  Very Low Tide.

Without trying hard, I found about 50 pieces in 1 hour.  Most are small, clear/green/brown.  Standard colors.  Found some small frosted baby blue pieces too, 1 small dark blue piece, some pottery shards.

The beach is amazing, but can get VERY crowded VERY quickly.  Parking is very limited.

There are numerous 'back doors' to this beach, but I'll leave those for the locals to know about.

It is also a dog friendly beach, which kinda sucks as the dogs tear up the place and bother you when you are hunting for glass.

I have more beaches in the area to report.

We hit 4 beaches in 4 days in town and hauled away over 500 pieces...

California beaches
by: Bbqpony

The sand builds up during the summer. Making it more difficult to find seaglass. Even the best sea glass beaches will return nil during the summer. Our rainy season is winter. The storms erode the beaches of much of the sand and increases the likelihood of good finds.

Just visited Arroyo Burro Beach. There was no sea glass, not even one shard. Sea glass collectors, don't waste you're time on this beach. Very disapointing.
