Western Esplanade Beach, Nassau

by Kimberly
(Maryland)

Spent an awesome couple of hours hunting on this beach. More sea glass than you could pick up, you're able to be choosy about what you select. A mix of well frosted and not ready glass. Found my first piece of red! Also a gorgeous purple, a few pieces of pottery, lots of wine bottle olive green, clear, brown and some blues. To get to this beach, walk past all the touristy Junkanoo beach stalls. Once you see the little pier that goes out into the water, walk along the sea wall until you can find a safe spot to get to the waterline. Definitely wear something on your feet, the coral and rocks can be sharp!
