What is this sea glass from?

by Lynn
(Virginia beach, VA )

I found this hunk of sea glass on a beach in the outer banks NC. It's pretty thick and I can't think of what it might have been used for. Any know what it could have been used in or how old it might be?

It may have come from a cane. I just watched a video about seaglass canes!

I found a similar piece on Bimini two weeks ago but only about half that length. it appears to have had a hole or something through it that was closed over. Very thick and whitish-blue. A stopper perhaps?
