Under the hot summer sun, vacationers stroll the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, chewing saltwater taffy and listening to the gulls raucous cackle. Beach Combing at Woodland Beach
by: Anonymous

We regularly go to this beach to look for sea glass. It varies greatly.

Sometimes we find one or two pieces. Other times we have found 85 pieces in an hour.

Best time to go is low tide and when the breeze is coming off the water.

If it's coming off the land you will be swarmed with those nasty green flies. It is so bad we have had to leave.

We find a lot of pieces that are not tumbled enough. We haven't found any rare colors either. White, Brown, Green and light blue.

It's full of sea glass but isn't great because the colors are all the same.

Still, if you're looking for a place to comb where you will be guaranteed to find at least a couple of pieces, this beach is for you.
