Everytime I Dream - Sea Glass

Everytime I Dream - Sea Glass

WINNER!

~ sea glass contest photo submitted by Darren Erbe, Bay Head, NJ, USA

After going to some antique shops, I walked the chilly beach searching for any treasures that have come ashore.

It was cloudy and very grey, but each time I found a piece of sea glass or a interesting new shell I wanted to keep searching despite my cold feet and hands.

I gathered up my findings onto the jetty for a picture to sum up my expedition.

It really captures the essence of the elements and atmosphere of that beach day, almost a surreal and dreamlike beach day.

Lost in time and space, alone with the sand and the water and the many treasures upon the shore.

I'm Darren, I use a 35mm film camera (Pentax MZ-30), and I roam the beaches of Bay Head, New Jersey, USA.

Cold Day But I See Glass!
by: Marylyn(SuperNan)

Hi Darren,
I get it!
I find the best [Sea Glass] on a winter's day. Love the elements during those times.
The crash of the waves, the cold, crisp sea air as it turns your cheeks to a tingling rosy red and the most amazing beach finds.
Thanks for the fab' photo.
Cheers,
Marylyn

You have done a nice job of arranging and it looks like drilling those pieces. Where did you find these?

Strangest Beach Thing I've Ever Found - Sea Glass Digital Photo Contests

Walking along my usual beach in Northern California, on Easter day...

I thought it was just another piece of a porcelain toilet, albeit a big chunk...this had been in the ocean for a while as the details are well polished and it seems like some parts may be missing.

I took the pic for a housebound friend who wanted to see it after I told him about finding it, with my canon powershot.

After the first picture I couldn't get the lens to focus anymore. ???

I fiddled around and finally got some more pics but that was really strange, it has never happened to my camera before.

It looks like you have found a figurine of "Madonna de la Muerta" and now your camera is cursed. You may need to have an exorcism performed on the camera before it will work properly.

Blue Yellow Beach Glass - Sea Glass Photo Contests

Found this tiny piece of beach glass yesterday on a Souris, PEI Canada beach.

I thought it was a small piece of blue glass but when I held up to the sun it appeared to be yellow with a blue outline.

Would love to hear comments from others on what type of glass this might be.
