Please help identify the origin of this Orange piece

Odd Orange Piece Mystery

I have included pics to show you this odd piece of orange sea glass. This piece was found while walking a beach on the Chesapeake Bay in VA. We have looked at hundreds of pictures to try to identify its origin., but have been unseccessful. We have been stumped for months on this. I have even sent the pic to a family member who has been collecting for years. It’s a mystery.
Maybe there is someone who can help us figure it out.
Any helpful input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
