Norfolk Island, Australia - May, 2012

Have just visited Norfolk Island, about two hours from Sydney, Australia.

Slaughter Bay has an abundance of green, amber and clear frosted glass.  I found a few specks of dark blue and half a red glass bead.

Lots of glass on Malabar beach, Sydney, in the common colours.  I also found a frosted pale blue glass bead.

Last year I found a frosted glass bottle stopper on Delwood beach near Manly.  The top was worn flat on one side.

There is a lot of glass on each of these beaches, although mostly the common colours.  You have to look closely to find anything unusual.

Where are all the Aussie sea glass collectors? Our beaches are a treasure trove of seaglass. My favourite cove-like beach is covered in millions of pebbles.

Fairy Bower near Manly - Sea Glass Report
by: Gail

Fairy Bower is one of Sydney's northern beaches.

I found the bottom of a 1860 Hamilton Soda bottle and the next week I went back and found the rim - now I just need the middle part!

I have found yellows and pinks on this beach too!
