Unusual Sea Glass 1

Unusual Sea Glass 1

~ submitted by Laura in  San Diego

My husband found a piece of sea glass at Fort Bragg this past weekend.

I was wondering if it is rare and if so, what it's value may be.

It is a piece of clear/brown sea glass, nicely rounded and frosted.

It looks like two pieces of glass fused together with words from a book or from one of the bottles?

Since the dump that is producing this glass burned the rubbish before dumping it over 40 years ago, it isn't surprising to see the two colors together but the words inside??

Thanks,

Laura

Organic Heart!

Organic Heart!

I found this glass last fall at Glass Beach in Ft Bragg Ca.

I was recently "oiling" my finds and found that this piece not only is "heart" shaped, but it seems to have encompassed some organic material!

I'm thinking it came from a place in the dump that was burned and the glass melted and trapped stuff inside.

Very interesting!
