Trying to identify these unusual red sea glass shards.

Both are same type of bi-colored red glass, with a fair amount of translucence in the lighter red piece of sea glass.

Found on secluded beach near Manomet, MA

Only collected for 20 minutes this morning. Found many pieces with questionable appeal, and a few that I liked. Apologies for the paper towel; they're.

Sandwich glass factory?
by: Anonymous

My Aunt collected many pieces of colored glass that looked "melted" like that around the old Sandwich glass factory site.

Could it be that some washed up in Manomet?

Another thought would be glass melted in a bonfire.

Pretty cool finds!
