Sea Glass Candles - Beach Glass Candles

Sea Glass Candles - Ways to use your collection of sea glass! Easy to do, yet unique and attractive.

About Sea Glass Candles

Naturally, sea glass itself can't be used as a candle, since it doesn't burn.

However, to dress up a candle and show off your sea or beach glass, you have several options.

Here, we show one of the fastest and best ways to make your candle stand out.

Sea glass or beach glass candles are a nice and fairly simple way to make a beach craft project using your sea glass collection.

Materials for Sea Glass Candle

  1. A glass vase, goblet, or other container about the size pictured here.

  2. A candle. The candle could be one about this size but probably would be better if the width of the candle was about 1/2 the diameter of the glass container. Use a dripless candle to prevent buildup of wax on your sea glass.

  3. Sand. You'll need just enough to provide a firm base for your candle.
  4. Sea Glass or Beach Glass. You might try beach glass of all one color or mix a combination of colors.

Steps for Making the Sea Glass Candle

  1. Center the candle in the middle of the goblet.

  2. Fill about 1/3 with sand, making sure the candle is centered.

  3. Then, fill the rest with your jewelry or craft grade sea glass.

Alternately, you could use seashells and small pieces of driftwood or pebbles to contrast with your seaglass.
