About Washington State and Sea Glass:

With its modest 170 miles of Pacific Beaches, the State of Washington may not seem to have much advantage over other states along the oceans North America.

However, when you add in all the salt water coastline of the Juan de Fuca Strait, the San Juan Islands, Puget Sound, etc, there is an astounding amount of beach.

In fact, if the coastline of Washington were stretched out in a straight line, it would reach from the east coast to the west coast of the United States.

Just think of trying to explore the sea glass possibilities!

Of course, a large part, perhaps 3/4 of that is beach that is protected from significant wave action - but that still leaves a good 750 miles of possible sea glass beaches.

No wonder there are a lot of you sea glass fans in the State of Washington!
